How to make Spicy Masala Panchratni Dal Curry Recipe For Roti
Ingredients:
1/2 cup toor dal
1/2 cup moong dal
1/2 cup masoor dal
1/2 cup urad dal
1/2 cup whole masoor
1 tsp turmeric powder
4 onions,chopped lengthwise
1 tsp cumin
2 tblsp ghee
Few coriander leaves,chopped
1/2 cup tomato puree
1 tsp cumin powder
salt to taste
1 tsp garam masala powder
a pinch of asafoetida
2 cm ginger,chopped
2 green chillies,chopped
1 tsp chilli powder
Cooking Directions
1. Wash all the lentils well and soak in water for five minutes.
2. Add enough water,turmeric powder and salt and pressure cook for two whistles.
3. Later add tomato puree, cumin powder, garam masala and cook for few more minutes.keep aside.
4. Heat ghee in a pan add cumin and asafoetida.
5. After a few seconds, add onions and saute till golden brown.
6. Add chopped ginger and green chillies and saute for two minutes.
7. Sprinkle chilli powder and cook for three minutes.
8. Sprinkle coriander leaves over it and stir well.
9. Pour the tempering over the lentils.Cover for two minutes to allow the lentils to absorb the flavour of the tempering.
10. Mix well and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.Serve hot With Roti or Naan
