Hyderabad Special Sweet  Double ka Meetha recipe

Ingredients

10 bread slices
5 cups water
5 cups sugar
Ghee or Butter for frying ( Oil might be used)
1-2 saffron strands added for fragrance n color
1 or 2 cardamoms
2 cups  milk

For Garnishing:

2 -3 tbsp Ghee
1 or 2 tbsp Cova
1/4 cup of Chopped cashew nuts,Almonds and Pistachios

    

Directions

Initially Make Sugar Syrup:

In a cooking Vessel add water, sugar, cardamom and saffron strands.

Stir well and boil the syrup on low flame until the syrup is sticky when touched with hands.

Rest it aside and allow it cool down.

Meetha Procedure:

Cut out the corners of the bread, then cut the bread slices in the form of Triangle

Deep fry the bread slices on medium flame in  Dalda or Ghee until golden brown.
 
Remove the fried bread slices and dip them in sugar syrup for few seconds until the syrup is absorbed into the slices.

Note
 Don't dip them for long time as the bread slices may become soft n mash.

Remove every slice carefully and place them in Plate

Pour ghee over the slices(optional).

Pour the boiled milk all over the slices.

Mash khoya and garnish on the slices also with finely chopped nuts.

Serve the mouth watering Delicious Sweet Double ka Meetha  in a serving  bowl.
