Quick Making of Tindora/Dondakaya Spicy Masala Dry Curry Recipe


Ingredients 

Tindora                 1/4kg
Onion                   2(make slices)
Chana dal              1 tsp
Urad dal                1 tsp
Turmeric powder    pinch
Mustard seeds        1 tsp
Cumin seeds          1/2 tsp
Oil-3 tbsp
Hing                      pinch
Curry leaves           few
Salt to taste
Cashew nuts           few

For masala Dry spicy Powder

Dry Red chilly    6
Peanuts           1/4 Cup
Coriander seeds   1 tbsp
Sesame seeds      1 tbsp


Cooking Directions

First cut Tindora/dondakaya  into slice(long pieces)and Keep aside.

Dry roast  the ingredients for masala and make into powder.


Now Heat oil in heavy bottommed pan.Add mustard seeds,once it starts pops up add cumin seeds,chana dal.urad dal , saute til dals turns light golden brown.

Add hing and curry leaves fry for few seconds.

Add sliced onions fry for 5 minutes.
Then add the sliced tindora pieces ,turmeric powder and mix well.

Saute it continuously  for about 5 mins.

Reduce the heat to low so that it doesn't stick o the bottom of the pan.cover it with a lid and cook for another 10 mins,stirring in between.

Don't over cook the gourds .Once they are cooked Open the lid and add in masala powder and combine well.

Cook in low heat for another 2-3 mins till all the flavors blend with each other.

Turn off the flame and transfer it into the serving bowl and Garnish with Corrinder leaves and fried Cashew nuts .
