Spicy Tindora and Coconut Dry Curry /lallyrecipes |
Tindora 500 gms
Chana Dal 1 tsp
Urad Dal 1 tsp
Dry Coconut Powder 4 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder pinch
Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves Few
Salt to taste
Oil As needed to Fry (approx 2 - 3 tsp)
Directions
Wash and chop the Tindora/Dondakaya into 4 long pieces.
Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal. Let them splutter then add the curry leaves and fry for a couple of seconds.
Then add the sliced tindora, salt and turmeric powder and combine well.
Saute for2-3 min and reduce the flame to low. Cover the pan with a lid and cook until pieces are soft.
Now remove the lid and fry the tindora until the edges are slightly crisp.
Finally add the red chilli powder and coconut and fry for a minute.
Remove from the flame and serve hot with rice.
