2 cups of besan ( kadalai mavu)
1 cup of rice flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
2 tps. of chilli powder ( to taste)
1 tsp. of black salt ( to taste)
1/2 tsp. hing
1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
2 strands of curry leaves ( wash and dry it thoroughly)
1/2 cup broken cashew nuts or 1/2 cup groundnuts
1/4 tsp. of garam masala
Directions
Mix 2 cups of besan and 1 cup of rice flour along with 1/4 tsp. of baking powder , turmeric powder, chilli powder , hing and black slat.
Now make a batter of dosa consistency by adding water little by little. See to it that there are no lumps.
Heat the oil in the kadai. Once the oil reaches the required heat, just pour this batter in the ladle that is meant for doing boondhi and with the help another ladle or hand, rub the dough continuously.
You can see small balls of besan ( boondhi) falling into the oil. Deep fry the boondhis till they are crisp. Set aside.
Now lower the flame and carefully fry the cashew nuts or ground nuts till they are golden brown.
Fry the curry leaves, till they are crisp.
Now in a clean and dry container mix all the fried ingredients along with 1/2 tsp. of garam masala. Allow it cool and store it in a dry air tight container.
