Ingredients
Besan – 1 cup
Sugar – 2 cups
Ghee – 2 cups
Directions
-On a Tick bottom Pan melt the ghee and place it in a hot water so that it remains in the liquid state itself.
- Add 1 tbl spoon of ghee and in low flame fry the besan till fine aroma comes. You should not over fry it.
- Set aside the fried besan. Add 2 cups of sugar along with 1 cup of water and make 1 string consistency sugar syrup. Now add 1 portion of ghee to the sugar syrup itself.
- Add the fried besan little by little. Ensure that there are no lumps. Keep stirring continuously in low flame.
- Start adding the remaining ghee little by little and let it mix with besan completely.
- With in 10-15 minutes you can see the besan along with the ghee bubbles and forms a froth.
- At one stage the besan will start leaving the edges of the pan and want stick to the bottom of the pan.
Switch off the stove and pour it into a plate greased with ghee. Allow it to cool and cut it into desired shapes.
